A great injustice was being done to one of our long-time customers and Dachsaholic Club members. We consider all our customers, especially our club members, as part of our Doxie Family . . . and when one of our own needs our help, we try to rally the troops.
Indigo and Max, beloved doxies of Sheri Wollard of Oxnard, California, were impounded in the local animal shelter for more than a month because of a legal brouhaha revolving around a neighbor's complaint about excessive barking. Sheri needed support from our community, and you provided it.
Thirty e-mails and an unknown number of letters each day poured in to the local officials and the local paper, and, after a hearing, it has been agreed that Max and Indigo will come home.
